Blanket for my Soldier

I started to crochet little yellow squares a few months ago and Big J. asked me if I would make him a blanket using the yellow squares and some other colors. We went and picked out the yarn and this is my progress so far…. I have 26 of the 96 squares done there is the border to do also. I will keep updating the pictures as I get further along and then a final picture before I send it off.

I finished more squares and here it is 1/3 of the way done!! I feel like I'm accomplishing something. Before I had a bag of squares, now I have 1/3 of a blanket and a bag of squares.

Beanie Baby

I got a Beanie Baby for my birthday last year (April 2007). I don’t collect them, but I couldn’t pass this one up. His name is Salute and his birthday is Veterans Day.

Bumps and Bruises

S. was walking all over my in-laws last Sunday 2/24/08 while we had him confined to one area. Learning from his oldest brother he figured out how to “escape” and made it over to the top of the stairs. He didn’t fall down the stairs, thank goodness, but got caught on the railing and smacked his forehead against the wood floor overhang. It immediately became a large goose egg.

Still smiling thru it all, what a trooper!!
